Take Stock in Children firmly believes that the future begins with supporting our children's education. Take Stock in Children provides scholarships, mentors, and hope for a better future to Florida's most deserving children. A public-private partnership, this nonprofit organization has positively affected the lives of more than 11,000 children.

For the past decade, Take Stock in Children has provided scholarships, mentors and hope to Florida's low-income, at-risk children. Corporate sponsors, government leaders, the Florida Legislature, individual donors and devoted volunteers are dedicated to providing educational opportunities to Florida's most underserved students.

Since its inception in 1995 Take Stock in Children has:

• Given more than 12,000 underserved children the opportunity to succeed in life
• Awarded over $86 million in college scholarships
• Logged over 841,000 volunteer hours provided by more than 11,000 volunteers
• Received national recognition by being awarded the Excellence in Mentoring Award for Program Leadership from MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnership.
• More than 5,144 students have graduated high school with a Take Stock in Children scholarship since the first graduating class of 1999.
